New Luggage!!!

Ok...so I may be a dork for getting excited about buying new luggage but this is my FIRST set of luggage that I have owned. What I mean is, every time I go on vacation I use my parents' luggage and I figured since I am going to be graduating college soon and living on my own, it was about time I purchased my own luggage. Anyway I have been wanting this 4-piece set from Overstock.com for about a year now. I figured now was the time to buy because 1. It was on sale and 2. I have a few vacations coming up in the Spring and Summer that I wanted it for. It is sooo adorably cute and I CANNOT WAIT until it gets here!!!

Here's a picture of it below...I ordered it from Overstock.com and clicked on 4-piece luggage sets and scrolled through and found this one. It's so cute!! I am such a girly girl and I love pink and polka dots so when I saw this I knew I HAD to have it!! It costs me $88.54 and that was with free shipping and 5% off so it's retail price is 92.99 and 2.99 shipping but you can find a code for free shipping!!

There is my soon to be new luggage. Can't wait for it to get here!! What do you think about it?

Busy Busy Busy

Wow I can't believe it is already Monday afternoon. The past week was extremely busy (hence the lack of posts). Since the semester is beginning to wind down I am having a ton of papers, projects, exams, etc. due. The past week was filled with all those things plus more. On a positive note I received a call about an interview but the position is in another state. Although it's about 2 hours away I'm quite nervous about possbily moving if I got the position. And if I got the position and had to move the BF won't move unless he were to get a job down there (understandably). I may be getting ahead of myself but I think about things like this all the time. I feel its better to be overprepared then underprepared!

My weekend was pretty busy as we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Friday night we went to Carrabas (an Italian restaurant) where I paid for dinner. Me and my mom gave him his presents which consisted of a Phillies jersey, Phillies tickets, and money (Can you tell he's a Phillies fan lol). Saturday we went to a local bar where there was an 80's cover band which was awesome!! We both had a blast!! Sunday, like usual, I spent the ENTIRE day doing school work. BLEH! The next 6 weeks can't come soon enough!!

Anyway I hope all you lovely ladies have a wonderful weekend!

Weekend Recap!!

Sooo the past few days have been quite busy for me!! This weather this weekend was absolutely beautiful!! Starting Thursday I had a benefit for my brother's high school where they served us dinner at this fancy place and there was a Rod Stewart look-alike show. That was blast. Also included was an 85 basket chinese auction in which over 600 people attended. Ladies, these baskets were insane!! There was even an outdoor grill. Talk about some expensive prizes!!

Friday I spent the day shopping with my grandmom. We did breakfast at a local place and had an awesome time the rest of the day. I did buy some goodies which I will show later one!! At night there was a benefit for my best friend's brother who had passed away when we were sophmores in high school while serving our country. The money raised goes in a scholarship fund for a local senior football player. Anyway the best news of the night was my boyfriend won a 32" LCD TV. Wow we were surprised!! (He's always so gosh darn lucky.

Sunday I drove up to North Jersey to check out the place my sister and her fiance haved picked to have their reception at. We also attended a mass where the ceremony will be held and the church is absolutely beautiful. She will be able to get really nice pictures inside and out. Seeing these two places just made me even more excited for her!!

Anyway here are some of the things I purchased this weekend (yes they are all black and white and I know it is Spring but I couldn't help it!)

A white cardigan for chilly summer nights

I have been dying for a black pencil skirt and I finally found one!

Black and white top

Animal print dressy top

Animal print cardigan (love this one!)

This black jacket can go with anything, I absolutely love it!

Black necklace from Forever 21

MAC's Perennial High Style (which is my new favorite)!!

My niece Shayla came to visit (she cracks me up)

That's all for now. Back to studying and homework before class tomorrow!

Book Reiview!!

Sooo I just recently finished a series called Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot and I absolutely LOVED it!! It's about an average girl named Lizzie who just can't managed to keep her mouth shut. Lizzie is a loveable goofball that makes you laugh. Some of the things she does and says I can personally relate to which made the book more enjoyable! There are 3 books in the series and each one is better then the last. It's a fun easy read that would be great for the beach or laying by the pool.

This is the synposis of the first book:
Lizzie Nichols has a problem, and it isn't that she doesn't have the slightest idea what she's going to do with her life, or that she's blowing what should be her down payment on a cute little Manhattan apartment on a trip to London to visit her long-distance boyfriend, Andrew. What's the point of planning for the future when she's done it again? See, Lizzie can't keep her mouth shut. And it's not just that she can't keep her own secrets, she can't keep anything to herself.

This time when she opens her big mouth, her good intentions get Andrew in major hot water. Now Lizzie's stuck in London with no boyfriend and no place to stay until the departure date written on her non-changeable airline ticket.

Fortunately, Lizzie's best friend and college roommate is spending her summer in the south of France, catering weddings in a chateau. One call and Lizzie's on a train to Paris. Who cares if she speaks only rudimentary French? One glimpse of gorgeous Chateau Mirac — not to mention gorgeous Luke, Chateau Mirac's owner — and she's smitten.

But while most caterers can be trusted to keep a secret, Lizzie's the exception. And no sooner has the first cork been popped than Luke hates her, the bride is in tears, and it looks like Chateau Mirac is in danger of becoming a lipo-recovery spa. As if things aren't bad enough, ex-boyfriend Andy shows up looking for "closure" (or at least a loan), threatening to ruin everything, especially Lizzie's chance at ever finding real love — unless she can figure out a way to use that big mouth of hers to save the day.

This is a picture of the first book. The other 2 books are called Queen of Babble in the Big City and Queen of Babble Get Hitched!. Overall I highly recommend them to read!

Good Morning!!

Well it's MOnday morning already and it's still raining here in Jersey...ughh 4 days now!! It's soo depressing!! Anyway here's a little weekend update.

Friday-My boyfriend's cousin and aunt drove up from Tennessee for my niece's 2nd birthday. This was sooo exciting considering I rarely get to see them and I consider them like family of my own. Friday night wasn't too crazy of a night just basically hung out with them.

Saturday-It was my niece Sophie's 2nd birthday!! She was sooo cute opening all her presents. After every present she would say thank you (which was so polite of her. Saturday night my boyfriend's sister found a babysitter and a bunch of us went out. Can I tell you I have not had that much fun in awhile. We danced the night away which felt soo awesome!!

Sunday-Layed in bed a majority of the day, did a little cleaning, and finished an Accounting project for school. All I have to say is thank god I am on Spring Break!!

On another note as I was reading Emily loves blog she was talking about a Colour Career Counselor so I decided to try it and wow it described me perfectly! It gives you a few questions asking which colors you prefer to look at the most/least and then gives you what your personality is. Crazy how what colors you pick really do describe you! Go to the website and give it a try!!

MIA this week

Sorry I have been basically MIA this week. I wound up getting the stomach virus Tuesday and have been down every since. Ughh it was horrible!! But I'm feeling a little bit better but I just wanted to update this thing. Anyway My sister FINALLY decided on a bridesmaids dresses. The dress is one of the ones I picked out from the beginning, so I'm super excited she chose it. I think it will look good on all the bridesmaids as we are all different sizes. Here's a picture below.

The picture is of the dress and the colors. I am not too sure how I feel about midnight blue and black. I mean I think it looks very pretty but very dark! I feel like maybe she should have picked a lighter color to contrast it. Oh well, it's not my wedding. Overall it's a beautiful dress!

Busy Busy Weekend

Whew! This weekend was pretty tiring. I feel like I closed my eyes and it was over. Anyway just wanted update about my weekend.

Friday me and the boy watched his niece for a little bit. She's going to be 2 on Wednesday so she's a little crazy. We took her to Olive Garden for dinner and even with a 40 minute wait she was sooo good. People kept commenting on how cute and well-behaved "our kid" was..lol little did they know we only had her for a few hours. After dinner we took her to see my 2 1/2 year niece so they could play together. Can I just tell you how stinkin cute those 2 were. They didn't want to leave each other when it was time to go, they cried so hard :(.

Here's them in the summer...aren't they precious!

Saturday was my most eventful day. We had an early St. Patty's Day pub crawl from 12-8 with some friends and then we were meeting some more friends afterwards at a local bar. The pub crawl consisted of 6 bars which was really neat considering I had never been to 3 of them. A school bus drove us to each bar which was good so no driving was involved. Here are some pictures from the fun day.

Me and some of the girls

Just ME!!

Sunday-Spent ALL day doing homework, presentations, and studying since I slacked off Saturday. Ughh I cannot wait until this semester is OVER!!! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Goodbye Winter Blues

I, like many others, have packed on a few pounds over the past couple months. With it being Winter I tend to not eat as healthy because of all the holidays and such. Also, it's cold so most times I just want to be bundled up in a blanket watching TV. Weelll ladies Spring is almost here and I couldn't be any more excited!! And for me with Spring brings more exercising and losing some of that weight I put on. One thing that I have been pretty consistent with is...The Daily Plate.com

The Daily Plate is an online tool that I use to keep track of what I eat. I've used this in the past and it has proved to be VERY beneficial for me. Many of us do not realize what we are putting into our bodies until we actually see it on paper (or the computer screen) The Daily Plate asks you to put in various information such as (height, weight, lbs you would like to lose a week, etc) and gives you an estimated calorie goal for each day. This site is customizable to fit your individual needs. They also have many other categories such as fitness, a support board, informative articles, etc. When you eat something you log it in and the daily plate keeps track of not only calories but also, sugar, sodium, protein, and their newest thing nutrients. It lets you know how many grams of each you should have in a day. Overall I absolutely LOVE this website. It helps me stay on track with healthy eating and keeps me motivated. I highly recommend taking a look at it.

Another thing that I have found I absolutely love doing is ZUMBA. It is like a latin aerobics class and it is soo much fun. It's a great workout without feeling like you are even working out. For those of you who hate treadmills and the such this class is perfect for you! I have been doing it for a year now and I love it. I have lost some weight and I am looking more toned. I would highly recommend trying to find a Zumba class nearby even to just try it. I know in my Zumba class the age range is from 21-71 so anyone can do it. No you do not need to know how to dance or even be coordinated, overall its a fun workout activity!

PS Thank god it is Friday!

Has anyone ever tried either one of these things before?? If so, let me know how you like/do not like them.

Everyone enjoy your weekend!!!

Small Haul from the weekend

So I had mentioned in my previous post that I bought a few things and I just wanted to share them with you (and also my personal opinions)..Anyway here's a picture.

First the Makeup Remover Wipes-I just started using these and I love them. There are 25 in a pack and I believe I paid $4.99 for them at CVS. Since the individual sheets are pretty big I cut them in half. Anyway, I really like using these to take my initial makeup off. It even takes my waterproof mascara off!! It almost preps my face for my cleanser to follow. All in all I like these alot. They don't make me break out or make my face dry. I'll keep using them.

Benefit High Beam- I absolutely adore this little gem. It is a highlighter that can be used for multi-purposes. I like to put it on my cheeks to highlight my cheekbones or even on my eyes as a highlighter. It really gives your face such a nice glow (not glittery or sparkly) just a nice glow wherever you put it. It is kind of pricey but it will last forever since you only have to use a little bit each time.

Last but not least Boscia Oil Free Hydration SPF15-In the wintertime my skin gets pretty dry so I was trying to find a daily moisturizer that hydrated my skin but wasn't heavy. While in line at Sephora I saw this and decided to try it. Can I just say I absolutely love it!! I only need a little bit to cover my entire face and after a minute or so it sinks right in. My skin feels baby smooth. I haven't been using it THAT long but as for now it DOES NOT break me out, which is awesome! Overall if you have dry skin or even normal skin and need some moisture I highly recommend trying the small size out!

Well another exam tomorrow so off to studying and bed I go! Goodnight all!
