Starting Fresh...

Wow! I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. Oh well, life happens. So I decided to return to blogging to document the next chapter of my life. My now husband and I purchased our very first home in October 2011. We completely gutted it and finally moved in March 2012. We were in the process of planning our fairy tale wedding and got married on May 11,2012. I hope to keep up with this blog regularly so that I can come back weeks, months, years from now and cherish all of the memories me and my "new" family and friends will be making. Buckle your seat belts, it will be a bumpy ride!

Where Did My Weekend Go

We were soooo busy this weekend, I feel like we went to bed Friday night and woke up to Monday morning without feeling rested. We were seriously on the go the-whole-weekend! Friday night we attended Pre Cana which we really enjoyed. We met a lot of nice couples that were similar to us. We also learned some things about us as a couple. Overall pretty enjoyable. We got out of there by 10:30pm and were back there by 8AM Saturday morning. I don't remember the last time I was up that early on a Saturday...woof! Anywho, we got out of there about 1:30 and took our nieces pumpkin picking. They were sooo stinkin cute! To prove it, here are some pictures!

Sunday, we went up to North Jersey to visit my sister and brother-in-law. They just moved so we wanted to be nosey and see the new place!

7 Months Away!

Wow, I CANNOT believe the wedding is only 7 months away. I feel like we just got engaged. Whew! How time flies. Overall I am pretty calm still, no stress on this end (well no stress dealing with the wedding). We have all of the major things book. At the end of October my bridesmaids are ordering their dresses and I am soooooo excited!! Take a looksee.

My bridesmaids are soo happy it has pockets. I honestly didn't even realize it did until one of them put it on. Oh well, in the end all of us loved it (thank god!). Let's see the month of October is crazy busy and it is looking like the month of November is going to be crazy too! We are going dress shopping for my mom in the beginning of November and it makes me so happy that she's so excited. I can't wait to have this moment with my mom. Then in the middle of November, my dress should be HERE!! I can't wait to see it again!! I honestly felt like a princess in it!!

Within the next few weeks we will be tackling the cake, getting a better idea of flower arrangements, and researching invitations. I've already started working on the placecards, wedding programs, and table numbers as they will be a DIY project. (let's hope they come great!).

Happy Friday!!

IT'S FRIDAY!! IT'S FRIDAY!! I am soooo happy that it is Friday today. This week seems to have gone by soo dang slow! Anyway the weather for this weekend looks absolutely beautiful so I hope to definitely get outside and enjoy it before it gets too cold. I have such a busy weekend coming up, BUT I have off on Monday thanks to our good friend Columbus :).
Tonight I have my very first Pampered Chef Party (I know can you believe it, and no I do not live under a rock, just never had the opportunity to attend one). Needless to say I've heard they are suppeerr fun so I can't wait. Food + Wine and I am one happppyyyy girl.

Saturday I have my best friends' son's 1st birthday party. She is having a costume party for his birthday so all the little kiddies will be dressed. I can't frickin wait! Later Saturday I have a bridal shower to attend for my cousin who is getting married in December.

Sunday, I hope to go to breakfast and do a little shopping with my Grandmom. I love the time we get to spend together because we are soooo much alike.

Monday will be spent sleeping in, having lunch with one of my bridesmaids, taking her to the bridal salon to try on the dress, and spending the rest of the day with the future hubby.

It's Beginning to Feel Like Fall...and I Love It!!

Well this is the first weekend in New Jersey that it ACTUALLY felt like Fall and I am beyond excited!! Fall is probably my favorite season. I love the cool crisp mornings, the leaves changing, the pumpkin spice everything, and switching out my closet to include sweatshirts and Uggs. While it makes me sad to put the flip flops and dresses away, I'm glad to finally get a break from the hot and humid weather. Plus, as each season passes, the wedding gets closer and closer!! Anywho...my weekend consisted of quality spent with friends and family. Saturday we went to a local bar to celebrate a friends birthday. Sadly, I only got 1 picture of me and Kyle from the whooolleee night. Sad..but true!

Sunday we took both of our nieces to a Pumpkin Festival in a town nearby.

The Pumpkin Festival is held on the main and side streets of the town. It's like a craft show mixed with a carnival, if that makes sense. They had pony rides, a petting zoo, plus arts and crafts for the kids. We were all enjoying the cooler weather when it started to rain. Two young girls out in the cooler weather + rain + being tired=no bueno. Needless to say, they hopped in their strollers and away we went. Sunday night was spent with family for our weekly Sunday dinner. Overall a great weekend!! Now where is Friday? I am ready to enjoy this beautiful weather some more!!

I'm Baaccckkk

I know it has been forreeevveerr since I posted but I have been suppppper busy planning the wedding and work. There has been sooo much going on that it is wayyy too much to update. So, I hope to get back on track with the blogging regularly especially since there are so many important events coming up that I want to document. Let's see the proposal happened last Saturday around 3:00. We were on on a pub crawl with all of our friends and when we got to our first bar, 15 minutes in, he kept hugging me (because my family was walking in the door and didn't want me to see them) then he whispered in my ear you know I want to spend the rest of my life with you and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! (How stinkin cute). It was the most amazing moment in my life thus far. To make it even better not only were my friends there but my family surprised me by being there too.

I can't wait to start planning the wedding and I'm hoping to use this blog as I a way to document the process. I want to be able to look back at this time and be able to remember all of the details. I hope you guys will bear with me through this loonngg process. Yay! That is all for now! Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
